Beamsplitter Cube
Star Optic cube beamsplitters provide a very good control of split ratio for an individual wavelength. Since the Beamsplitter coating is internal to the cube there is no risk of scratching. All four external faces are anti-reflection coated. Since the two prisms which form the cube are cemented together these can only be used for relatively low power applications. For custom applications, the coating can be adjusted to provide the required split ratio for either s or p component or equalized between the two so please specify the polarization state of the incoming beam. Please contact the Star Optic sales team for more information.
Polarization Beamsplitter Cube
Polarizing Cube Beamsplitters is cemented by a pair of high precision right angle prisms, the hypotenuse of one prism is coated with polarization dielectric coating, and outsides are coated with AR coating. It split randomly polarized beams into two orthogonal, linearly, polarized components. S-Polarized light is reflected at a 90 degree angle while P-polarized light is transmitted. These polarizing cube beamsplitters are intended for use with lasers operating at a single wavelength. They are coated to achieve a high extinction ratio between the s and p components. They are manufactured from BK7 prisms which are cemented together and provides an extinction ratio of 500: 1.
Non-Polarizing Beamsplitter Cube
Non-Polarizing Beamsplitter Cube is cemented by a pair of high precision right angle prisms. These non-polarizing cube beamsplitters are coated so that the s and p components coincide in reflectance at the wavelength of interest. This means that they will not change the state of polarization of the incident beam. They are anti-reflection coated on the four external faces. These are not intended for high power use due to the cement between the two prisms
Beamsplitter Plate
These dielectric coated plate beamsplitters are intended for use with broadband or multi-spectral sources. They have a flat performance with a controlled equal split ratio. The s and p components are separated by up to 30% and in combination they provide an average transmittance and reflectance close to 50%. Absorption and reflection losses are minimal.
Non-Polarizing Beam Splitter Plate
Non-Polarizing Plate Beamsplitters are insensitive to input beam polarization. These beamsplitters feature high damage thresholds and can be integrated into a variety of laser applications. The beamsplitter coating is complemented by a high efficiency anti-reflection (AR) coating for enhanced performance.
